The design lessons were represented by stamps students received in their
notebooks showing the exhibitions they had visited. Adopting the principle of
collectionism, students were encouraged to visit other shows in the company of
their family. Thus, in addition to receiving new stamps in their notebooks, they
also became multiplying agents for the Biennial, taking more people to visit its
exhibitions.
In all, 3,427 students from 59 institutions visited the shows of the Brazilian
Design Biennial 2010. However, the educational project was even broader, with
special materials about the event reaching 10,000 students in Curitiba’s public
school system. Raising the awareness of such young people about the theme, as
well as the positive reaction of the students, has proven that design can become
part of people’s daily lives and should be perceived by society as part of building
a better future for all.
Adotando
