A Electrolux e o design
Electrolux and Design
como iF Design (Hannover), Good Design Award (Chicago) e
e a preservação do meio ambiente. Dessa forma, a Electrolux
Electrolux has a proud history in the country that stretches over
80 years, but its presence in the homes of Brazilian consumers
continues to grow thanks to innovative products that facilitate
people’s daily routine.
The key behind Electrolux’s success is through its “Passion
for Innovation”, one of the company’s most intrinsic values, in
reference to the development of each of the company’s projects.
It is in compliance with this philosophy that our products offer
functional design aligned with consumer desires and needs, in
the form of cutting-edge technology.
Throughout our history, product innovations have been
acknowledged through international design awards such as iF
Design (Hannover), Good Design Award (Chicago) and Museu
da Casa Brasileira (Museum of the Brazilian Home) granted to
the same product: the Electrolux Infinity refrigerator, our most
recent innovation.
Design is much more than the materialization of shapes and
lines, it plays a fundamental role in society, contributing, in fact,
to resolving certain aspects imposed by the 21st century – such
as unconstrained populational growth and the preservation of
the environment. Thus, Electrolux believes that the Biennial will
be presenting the most recent innovation and trends in terms of
industrial design and the issues of sustainability.
Sustainability as the destination. Innovation as the path.
Design as the means. Since its foundation, Natura has been
turning this logical connection between design, innovation
and sustainability into a practice that drives business and,
above all, shapes a new model of corporate development that
combines economic success, social welfare and respect for the
environment.
Natura has never looked at social and environmental
challenges as obstacles to growth. On the contrary: they have
always been, and will always be, catalysts for innovation. This
perspective on things determines Natura’s affinity with the
world of designers, people whose talent is precisely to envision
solutions where most people can only see problems.
In times when people are calling for a low carbon economy, the
responsible use of natural resources and an improvement of the
quality of our relationships with the planet, there is an urgent need
for innovative ideas. New demands require new ways of thinking.
Hence the importance of the Brazilian Design Biennial 2010.
Dedicated to reflection on sustainable design, this event is
in itself an incubator of new ideas. Natura supports and
participates in the Biennial with one certainty: that brilliant
innovations will emerge after Curitiba!
A Natura apoia e
