ABSTRACT<br />
The following res<strong>ea</strong>rch has its main focus the analysis of the regulatory system during the<br />
economy crisis in 2008. It was needed to go back in time to evaluate the efficiency of the<br />
regulatory system to understand other economy crashes, such as the New York 1929 crash.<br />
The proposed changes that were applied in the 1930 decade in US, with the main purpose<br />
of preventing future crashes, were gradually left behind along the y<strong>ea</strong>rs, which gave room for<br />
new happenings.<br />
The work <strong>do</strong>ne was able to keep an eye on the lagged financial regulation and the<br />
kindness of the regulatory agencies were a misl<strong>ea</strong>der to the financial market, which in the long<br />
term prospective took the economy to the biggest crash ever happened in US.
