CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE<br />
MAINTENANCE DURING OPERATION<br />
During normal operation, the “empty grounds” message may appear. This operation must be performed when<br />
the machine is on.<br />
Remove the coffee grounds<br />
drawer.<br />
GENERAL MACHINE CLEANING<br />
The cleaning described below must be performed once a week.<br />
Note: if water remains in the tank for several days, do not use it.<br />
WARNING! Never immerse the machine in water.<br />
Switch off the machine and unplug<br />
it.<br />

Remove the upper part of the drip<br />
tray and wash it all with running<br />
water.<br />
Empty and clean it.<br />

Clean the tank and the cover.<br />
Remove the end part of the steam<br />
spout; remove and wash the steam<br />
spout support. Then reinsert it.<br />
If you remove grounds with the<br />
machine off or when not signaled<br />
on the display, the count of the<br />
grounds emptied into the drawer is<br />
not reset. For this reason the<br />
machine might display the “empty<br />
grounds” message even after<br />
preparing just a few coffees.<br />

Remove the drip tray.<br />

Clean the pre-ground coffee<br />
compartment with a dry cloth.<br />
Clean the display.
