Monumentos Em Aveiro, os visitantes não se deslumbram só com o presente, mas também com os testemunhos da sua História, entre os quais se podem destacar o Maneirismo e o Barroco presentes na maior parte das igrejas e capelas: no Museu de Aveiro, a Igreja de Jesus, com uma majestosa decoração de talha dourada e um tecto cuja leveza da talha sugere o rendilhado de um trabalho de ourivesaria, e o túmulo da Princesa Santa Joana, magnífico exemplar do século XVIII, com finíssimas incrustações de mármore policromo; a Igreja das Carmelitas, templo pertencente a um antigo convento, edificado no século XVII; a Sé Catedral, que remonta ao século XV e o Cruzeiro de S. Domingos, obra-prima do mesmo período de grande valor iconográfico.
