Abstract
The Pre-school Education is a decisive stage in the formation of the child as a person,
having the duty to provide situations of contact with literature, promoting the global
development – cognitive, psychological, emotional, civic, ethical, aesthetic and
linguistic – of the child.
The contact of the child with the quality book, from the first years of life, and particularly
with the Children’s Literature, is essential to promote an aesthetic and literary initiation
that will be determinative in his future as a reader, as soon as it makes possible the
discovery of the pleasure of the reading, stimulates the imaginative and creative
capacity of the child, it develops his artistic sensibility, his reflexive capacity and the
acquisition of literary conventions that they will allow to him to enjoy, in the
understanding form, the polysemy of the literary and the iconic languages.
However, in educative context, the Children’s Literature can also be approched in a
cross and transdisciplinary perspective, due to his formative value and to the subjects
that often relate themselves with the education for the citizenship, in his multiple forms.
So, in this Final Report I intend to present a Project of Investigation-action that I
developed in the context of my Practice and Supervised Intervention (PSI) of the
Master's degree in Pre-school Education in the activities room B of the Kindergarten of
the Atalaião, having like subject “The Transversality of the Children’s Literature in Pre-
school context”. For the preparation of this project, I found important to recover some of
the informations that were composing my Project of Observation / report, carried out in
the context of the Curricular Unity of Observation and Supervised Cooperation, of the
same master's degree.
Starting from those informations, I conceived a projet of intervention-action centered in
the transdisciplinary approach of the Children’s Literature, with children with ages
between the four and six years.
