The goal of the Preview 2011: Jewelry & Costume Jewelry survey is to
build a communication that expresses the fine tuning that exists between
changes in sensitivities - the so-called spirit of the age, and the things that
inspire designers. The diversity shown in the items used to illustrate Preview 2011
acts as a witness for the organicity that is established between the contemporary
fashion environment and the creativity of Brazilian production in these sectors.

Ever since fashion first began, at the end of the Middle Ages, it has expanded its
area of operation and it has, nowadays, assumed a transversal character, which brings
different sectors and products together in the same field of consumption. The scope of
contemporary fashion’s discourse covers products of different statures, as is the case
with jewelry and costume jewelry, and presents itself by means of unifying narratives.
Through all the centuries that it has been in operation, the phenomenon that is
