SUMMARY<br />
It was analyzed the recent evolution of poultry raising in Brazil, the transformation<br />
of the technical basis, it determinants, as well as the main impacts that this economic<br />
activity brought about through a series of actions. Among them, it was included gathering<br />
statistic data in order to verify the evolution of the poultry-raising sector in Brazil for the<br />
last 30 year. As well as extensive research on papers published on the economy of the rural<br />
areas of Brazil, in order to understand the technological changes that have taken place. It<br />
was also collected data on the impact caused hy new investments in the Center-West region<br />
of the country on this economic sector. Several transformations were verified on both the<br />
technical and genetic base, as well as in nutritional, mechanics and health-care procedures.<br />
The determinant factors of the technical base were attributed to the transformation of the<br />
rural complex into in agricultural and industrial complex, industrial appropriation and<br />
substitution due to matters related to land issues and labor, as well as to the state through<br />
the public and financing politics are established. Impacts were observed in the relationship<br />
capital vs. Labor, the appearance of integrationist behaviors, in the verticalization and in the<br />
production process itself. Large industrial capitals replaced the old economy, the size of<br />
integrated properties increased and technology became more intensely used. Concerning to<br />
jobs generations, the number of jobs has been steadily shrinring, whereas the advancement<br />
in technology has been replacing them. And in recent changings of locations from units<br />
productors to the Center-West region a well, as well as the likely impacts specific to Rio<br />
Verde.
