ABSTRACT
The present work aims to perform a comparative view on the Physical Education among
teachers and students of elementary school II of the city of Monte Belo - MG. The survey
consisted of a quantitative study comprised 95 students of both sexes and five physical
education teachers of three schools of education of that city. To obtain the data were used in
a mixed assessment questionnaires, which were analyzed and compared. After analyzing the
data, we conclude that the view of teachers in relation to the objectives, content and method
of school physical education has a great diversity and different views, but with respect to the
vision of the students noticed a hegemony in learning using sports as a method mostly only
practical activities. It is suggested that the scope of all the contents of physical culture and
that this experience can create opportunities to promote the education of the student.
