gates, in order to have an appropriate discussion about
the matter.
Similar to the terrorism issue, diamond trafficking is
also another problem that has to come to an end, for
the sake of humankind. Countries all around the world
have created methods to minimize the issue and certify
that the diamonds being sent worldwide are conflict
free. As an example, the Kimberley Process Certification
Scheme (KPCS) was brought into existence to certify
the legitimacy of the diamonds. Several countries have
signed this process, meaning that they are willing to
implement its measures.
Last but not least, the African continent has other
problems in addition to the diamond one; other countries
have gotten involved in conflicts with African
countries and there have been several conflicts among
African countries. The motive of each combat is unique
and each country has its own motivations, however, it
is important to state, once again, that the governments
have been implementing measures to end these sorts
of issues between countries. The United Nations is in
favor of peace and stability and all of the measures created
by them take into consideration this finality.
