Inicialmente, gerou-se a distribuição das publicações durante os anos, identificando uma faixa de 15 anos de pesquisa (Figura 2.9). A partir disso, verificou-se que 19 publicações foram realizadas em 2004, representando aproximadamente 15% do total. Posteriormente, constatou-se que os anos de 2006, 2007, 2008 e 2010 possuem, respectivamente, 14, 15, 16 e 13 publicações sobre CM. Esses anos representam aproximadamente 60% do total de publicações realizadas. Ademais, é possível identificar grande ênfase nos últimos cinco anos em publicações sobre CM, revelando a importância dessa área de pesquisa e a sua consolidação. Os resultados também reforçam a afirmação de Selladurai (2004), de que a CM hoje é uma realidade, e não um oxymoron, e está ganhando destaque em gestão de produção e operações. Figura 2.9. Ao verificar a grande quantidade de publicações no ano de 2004, investigou- se as revistas em que os artigos foram publicados para identificar a motivação desse resultado. Identificou-se que a revista Production Planning & Control, no ano de 2004, realizou uma edição especial sobre CM (McCarthy, I.
