Caracteres, etc. - Esta subfamília, com Aphrastobraconinae, Doryctinae, Exothecinae, Hecabolinae, Hormii- nae, Pambolinae, Rogadinae e Spathiinae, constituíam o an- tigo grupo Cyclostomi Wesmael, 1855 (Cyclostomes Marshall, 1888; Cyclostomini Szépligeti, 1905), caracterizado pela for- mação de espaço subcircular entre a borda livre emarginada do clípeo e a superior das mandíbulas, quando estas se acham entrecruzadas. Os Braconineos formam grupo relativamente extenso, com multas espécies da região Neotrópica, em grande parte do gênero Bracon Fabricius. Segue a relação dos Braconineos Sul-Americanos cujos hospedeiros são conhecidos. Do gênero Bracon (Fabr.) (= Microbracon Ashmead): B. alpataco Kieffer & Jörgensen, 1910; na Argentina pa- rasita Tetradiplosis sexdentata Kieffer (Cecidomyidae).
