OVERBELASTNINGSSKADER ere forskning i de kommende år vil forhåbentlig råde bod på dette og give indsigt i hvilken behandling og hvilke stimuli, der er nødvendige for at sikre en overensstemmelse mellem de ydre påvirkninger og senens styrke. Det er derfor af afgørende betydning at forstå samspillet mellem muskler og sener under belastning for i fremtiden at kunne forbygge og behandle en lang række muskuloskeletale sygdomme, samt sikre at træning som intervention overfor livsstilssygdomme ikke resulterer i overbelastning af andre væv, men målrettet kan have den tiltænkte effekt. Der ligger således en lang række forskningsprojekter og venter på at blive udført, så jeg vil gerne benytte lejligheden til at invitere alle der har lyst til at tage fat på dette område til at ”komme ind i kampen”. 1.
