Using the appliance<br />

1 Take the entire cord from the cord storage compartment. (Fig. 6)<br />

2 Put the plug in the wall socket.<br />

3 Press the on/off switch to switch on the appliance (Fig. 7).<br />

The temperature light goes on (Fig. 8).<br />

4 Set the temperature control to the required temperature.<br />

For the required temperature, see the package of the food to be fried or the food table at the end<br />

of this booklet.<br />

5 Wait until the temperature light goes out (this takes 10 to 15 minutes).<br />

6 Fold out the handle of the frying basket (Fig. 9).<br />

7 Open the lid (Fig. 2).<br />

8 Remove the basket from the fryer and put the food to be fried in the basket (Fig. 10).<br />

Do not fry very large quantities at one time. Do not exceed the quantities mentioned in the food<br />

table at the end of this booklet ( - indicates the recommended quantity).<br />

Note: Dry ingredients thoroughly before you fry them.<br />

Note: Remove all excess ice from frozen ingredients before you fry them.<br />

9 Carefully put the basket in the fryer. (Fig. 11)<br />

Make sure the basket has been inserted properly.<br />

10 Close the lid.<br />

11 Press the button on the basket handle and fold the handle against the fryer. (Fig. 12)<br />

During frying, the temperature light comes on and goes out from time to time to indicate that the<br />

heating element is switched on and off to maintain the correct temperature.<br />

After frying<br />

1 Fold out the handle of the basket (Fig. 9).<br />

2 Press the release button to open the lid (Fig. 2).<br />

Beware of the hot steam and possible spattering of the oil.<br />

3 Remove the basket from the fryer and shake off excess oil or fat.<br />

4 Put the fried food in a bowl or colander lined with grease-absorbing paper, e.g. kitchen paper.<br />

5 If you want to fry another batch, wait until the temperature light has gone out.<br />

6 Put the basket in the fryer.<br />

7 Close the lid.<br />

8 Switch off and unplug the appliance after use.<br />

Note: If you do not use the fryer regularly, we advise you to remove the oil or liquid fat. Store the oil or<br />

liquid fat in well-closed containers, preferably in the refrigerator or in a cool place.<br />
