Operating Instructions
The wear of the impact striker is reduced when
blank shots are avoided, and the work is not always
carried out with the maximum hammer
force.
Safety Cover
When the safety cover 7 is in the rear position,
plane-parallel working is possible.
Always slide the safety cover 7 over the tacker
head 6 while pausing, after the work, as well as
during transport and storage of the machine.
Clamps for Profiled Wood or Grooves
For fastening of ceiling panelling with clamps for
profiled wood or grooves, only resin-covered
staples with a length of 19 mm may be used.
Hold the machine sloped at an angle of
approx. 30° and press it centrally against the profiled
wood clamp or groove clamp.
Fire off a test shot to determine whether or not the
clamp is tacked sufficiently firm against the structural
material with the selected hammer force adjustment.
At the tacking location, the clamps for profiled
wood or grooves may not have stiffening ribs.
The ribs prevent the clamps from penetrating
completely and damage the impact striker.
Tacking of Wooden Laths/Strips
When tacking laths/strips, begin working with a
low hammer force adjustment. Otherwise traces
of the impact striker can result on the surface.
Seized Staples
■ Before any work on the machine itself, pull
the mains plug.
The staples can seize up inside of the tacker
head 6 e. g., when running into a hidden screw.
They can be removed as follows:
Remove the magazine slider 8.
Loosen the screws 4. Pull away the face plate 5
downwards and remove jammed or stuck staples.
Reinsert the face plate 5 again. When inserting
the face plate 5, pay attention that it
closes off flush with the tacker head 6. Tighten
the screws 4 again.
Intermittent Operation
The machine is designed for intermittent operation
only. It heats up in continuous operation. The
tacking force is reduced with increasing heating
up.
Pause after a maximum of 15 minutes and allow
the machine to cool off.
Extension Cable
In order to avoid a capacity reduction of the impact
force, use an extension cable with a cross
section of at least 1.5 mm 2 and a maximum
length of 10 metres.
Always unroll the cable drum completely.
Maintenance and Cleaning
■ Before any work on the machine itself, pull
the mains plug.
For safe and proper working, always keep
☞ the machine and the ventilation slots clean.
If the machine should fail despite the care taken
in manufacturing and testing procedures, repair
should be carried out by an after-sales service
centre for Bosch power tools.
In all correspondence and spare parts orders,
please always include the 10-digit order number
given on the nameplate of the machine.
