Operating Instructions KMR 1700 D English Replacing side brush Start engine Raise the swept material container to the end position Shut-off the engine Lock the hand brake Pull out pin of locking rod Remove locking rod Insert locking rod Swing-out the side broom Unscrew the side broom Screw-on the new side broom Swing-in the side broom Remove locking rod Insert locking rod Insert pin of locking rod Start engine Run-in the swept material container to the end position Shut-off the engine Lock the hand brake Check the air cleaner Replace the air filter if the indicator light is RED Open the engine bonnet Press together bonnet latch at the air filter housing Remove bonnet 42
Operating Instructions KMR 1700 D English Take out dirty filter Insert the new filter Place bonnet on air filter housing Note: Ensure right position of bonnet! (Labelling) Note: You must hear the bonnet latch click Reset the indicator light Press the key at bottom of indicator light Close engine cover Testing and adjusting fanbelt In the middle between the crankshaft and the alternator, given a pressure of 10 Kg the V-belt must give approx. 7 - 9 mm — V-belt tension is set by adjusting alternator. Cleaning and replacing fuel filter system Danger! Explosion hazard — Do not carry out maintenance tasks in closed rooms Shut-off the engine — Smoking and naked flames prohibited Close the fuel feed line Release the ring screw and take off the fuel filter including contents Clean or replace the fuel filter Replace the gasket ring Clean the fuel filter casing Unscrew the fuel filter 43
