Operating Instructions KMR 1700 D English Risk of overturning on too high gradients! Danger! The machine could topple over when driving and turning on slopes. — Drive only on slopes up to 20 % in the travelling direction. — At right angles to direction of travel only negotiate gradients up to a maximum of 10 %. Risk of overturning when taking bends rapidly! Danger! The machine can topple-over when driving fast around curves. Drive slowly in curves. Danger of tipping over given an unstable travelling surface! Danger! The machine can tip over given an unstable travelling surface. Move the machine exclusively on a solid travelling surface. Overturning hazard when sideways tilt is too great! Danger! The machine can tip over given an incline of more than 10 %. For our environment Caution, danger to the environment from used batteries! Do not dispose of exhausted batteries as ordinary household garbage. Ensure environmentally compatible disposal. Caution, danger to the environment from engine or hydraulic oil! Take spent oil after an oil change to an oil collecting point or a waste disposal company. Intended use This sweeping machine — is intended for sweeping outdoor areas. — must not be used in closed rooms. — May be used on public traffic routes after prior individual approval by an official supervisory authority. Function description - sweeping machine The KMR 1700 D operates on the shovel principle — The rotating main brush (1) transports the dirt directly into the debris container (2). — The side brush (3) cleans corners and edges of the sweeping surface and transports the dirt in the path of the main brush. — The fine dust is sucked by the blower fan (4) through the dust filter (5). Before first operating Unloading instructions For safe transportation the machine was secured with taut belts, ropes or chains. Proceed as follows when unloading: Lock the hand brake Remove the taut belts, ropes or chains from the transporting loops Knock away blocks securing the wheels and drive the machine off the transport vehicle over a suitable ramp (min. load-bearing capacity 2 t) Operating sweeping machine without automotive power Open the engine bonnet Turn the free-run lever of the hydraulic pump through 90° (crosswise to the driving direction) Note: Do not move sweeper over long distances and at speeds of more than 10 km/h 28
