Men det er mange faktorer som spiller inn, blant annet en eventuell enighet mellom verdens land om å sette en avgift på CO2, og i hvilken grad landene er villige til å kutte i oljesubsidiene. Faktorer som dette kan komme til å endre etterspørselssituasjonen i årene fremover. Han regnet med at energietterspørselen vil øke med rundt 55 % innen 2030. Selv om det satses mer og mer på alternative energikilder, som biodrivstoff, vind- og solenergi, er realiteten av fossil energi vil dominere også i fremtiden. Olje, naturgass og kull vil fortsatt være de viktigste energikildene og vil stå for 84 % av økningen frem mot 2030, ifølge Ta- IEA-sjef Nobuo Tanaka mener at fossil energi vil bli dominerende i mange år fremover til tross for høye oljepriser. Tilstandsbasert vedlikehold På standen til Aker Solutions traff jeg Arne Bjørlo, som sammen med Arild Kristensen og Trine Fersnes Riccardi, begge fra IBM, ga en innføring i satsingen av nye vedlikeholdstjenester for olje og gass. Det er et samarbeid mellom Aker Solutions, Forts. side 92 90 NY TEKNIKK 08/2008 naka. Imponerende utstillinger 1300 utstillere viste frem sine produkter og tjenester på årets messe. “The Innovation Park” ble arrangert for andre gang, og “The LNG Park” hadde doblet størrelsen siden 2006. Nytt av året var “The Renewable Energy Park”, som var organisert i samarbeid med Lyse Energi. Alle de store oljeselskapene var selvfølgelig representert på messeområdet - StatoilHydro, Shell, BP, Conoco Phillips, ExxonMobil, Total, og Chevron. Jeg var særlig imponert over den spektakulære utstillingen til StatoilHydro, der de viste selskapets historie og aktiviteter over en enorm skjerm. Standen tiltrakk seg mange besøkende. Også Aker, Gassco, Halliburton, FMC Technologies, Ulstein og Rolls Royce hadde store og imponerende stands. Møre og Romsdal, Sør- Trøndelag, Nord-Trøndelag fylker og næringslivet i Midt-Norge hadde en stor stand under felleslogoen Mid-Norway. Det var en gylden anledning til å orientere seg om det som skjer innenfor energibransjen, for det er på ONS det skjer. Det er bransjens store utstillingsarena i Europa, og der er her man møter alle som betyr noe innenfor bransjen. Jeg skulle gjerne ha snakket med de fleste utstillerne, men det var selvfølgelig ikke mulig i løpet av så kort tid, men jeg rakk i hvert fall noen: “Slipp energien fri” Det amerikanske oljeselskapet Halliburton brukte messen blant annet til å presentere seg for jobbsøkere. Markedsanalytiker John Jakobsen kunne fortelle at selskapet nylig hadde fått mange kontrakter, og at de derfor trengte folk - mange folk, både ingeniører, geologer og offshorepersonell. Men det var ikke så enkelt, i hvert fall ikke å få folk med lang erfaring. Derfor brukte de ustillingen blant annet til å presentere seg overfor potensielle søkere under slagordet “Slipp energien fri”.
