2. Safety instructions
2.1 General
n Read the instructions carefully
before using the AVS mesh base.
n Examine the AVS mesh base
frequently for signs of wear or
damage. If there are such signs or if
the appliance has been misused,
return it to the supplier prior to any
further use.
n The AVS mesh base must only be
fitted by an Auping specialist.
n The AVS mesh base is only suitable
for normal household use.
n Children should be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with the
AVS mesh base.
n Do not use the bed as a trampoline
or stepladder.
n Do not smoke in bed, and keep
burning objects away from the bed.
n Use an AVS mesh base base in
combination with an Auping
mattress.
2.2 Adjustable AVS mesh base
n Adjustable beds have moving parts.
Make sure that your limbs cannot
become trapped.
n Only adjust the bed while you are
lying on it. Make sure that no children
are under the bed while it is being
adjusted.
n The AVS mesh base is not intended
for use by persons with a
psychological complaint or mental
deficiency or children, unless they
have been properly instructed how
to use it and are aware of the risks.
n Only place the bed in a dry room. It
is not permitted to place the bed in a
damp room.
n Please do not sit on the head
support or foot end of the bed whilst
raised.
n Release the controls immediately
should anything become trapped
between the moving parts. The
motors do not stop automatically
and continue to operate.
n Do not heat the gas spring. The gas
spring is under high pressure.
