Short-term parking
• € 1 per hour, maximum of 2 hours, from 9am to 7pm.
• On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from the Easter holidays to the end of
September.
• Every day in July and August and during the Easter holidays.
Exception
Kerkstraat and Paul de Smet de Naeyerstraat up to Leopoldlaan: at a charge
throughout the year.

Day parking
• € 1 per hour, € 5 per day, from 9am to 7pm.
Half-day rate
Half-day rate = fi xed sum of € 15.
Th is rate applies upon termination of the parking duration indicated on the parking
ticket or if there is no legible parking ticket behind the windshield.
Th is rate allows parking from 9am to 2pm or from 2pm to 7pm.

Long-term parking – free of charge
• In IJzerlaan, Oudstrijdersplein*, Normandlaan, Middelkerke Cemetery and
Klein Kasteelstraat car parks (*= not on market days).
• All other streets.
Blue zone
• Maximum of 2 hours, use of parking disc required (except for residents and
municipal parking cards).
• Disabled people can park their car without a time limit.
Blue zone rate
Parking disc absent or placed incorrectly: fee of € 25 a day.
Marktplein underground car park
Peak period (weekends, school holidays, public holidays)
• Day rate of € 1 per hour, maximum of € 5, from 7am to 7pm.
• Night rate of € 0.50 per hour, maximum of € 2, from 7pm to 7am.
Off -peak period (days outside the peak period)
• Day rate of € 0,50 per hour, maximum of € 2,50, from 7am to 7pm.
• Night rate of € 0.50 per hour, maximum of € 2, from 7pm to 7am.
‘Weekend ticket’
• From Friday 12 noon until Monday 12 noon = € 12.
Various season tickets possible.
15 minutes of free parking through car park ticket machine.
Disabled people are not exempt from parking fees.
