Depending upon station accesslevel, the handset can be used to initiate normal andemergency calls, urgent and emergency calls, oremergency calls only. Normal, urgent, and emergencycalls shall be sorted according to priority and shallappear on the queue display of the administrative stationassigned to receive the calls. Emergency callsshall also cause a flashing “HELP” to appear on thedisplay, and shall ring the phone with an emergencyring signal.(Use for Multi-Graphic Systems equipped withthe CPP option) It shall provide call receiving(with ringing through the speaker), call initiation,intercommunication, and conferencing capability,between staff locations and the control center, orbetween staff locations (with the assistance of thecontrol center). Removal of the handset from its cradleshall generate a call-in tone and illuminate an LEDannunciator at the control center.The unit shall include a dynamic receiver and carbontransmitter, housed in a white, high-impact, moldedABS handset with coil cord; chrome-plated cradle;SPST hookswitch; and brushed stainless steel faceplatewith piezo-electric ringer.
