Ph.D.Leerdoel:Uitvoering van een integraal project, waardoor de studentmoet aantonen voldoende kennis en vaardigheden inde BScstudie te hebben verworven.Omschrijving van het vak:Al dan niet in overleg met de student wordt een studieopdrachtgeformuleerd, betrekking hebbende op een ofmeerdere vakgebieden van de BSc-studie, welke gewoonlijk zalinhouden dat de student onderzoek zal moeten verrichten eneen plan zal moeten maken (een ontwerp voor een gebouw,een buitenruimte, een constructief ontwerp, dan wel eenuitvoerings- of een onderhoudsplan). Doelen, omvang eninhoud worden tevoren door student en begeleidersvastgelegd, mede op basis van een schatting van deuitvoerbaarheid door de student binnen de gesteldetijdsperiode. Indien door de student niet binnen 12kalendermaanden na goedkeuring van het project door destudierichting een zodanig resultaat is bereikt dat presentatiedoor de begeleiders verantwoord wordt geacht, of indien depresentatie niet binnen 18 kalendermaanden na goedkeuringvan het project door de studierichting is geschied, worden allein het kader van het project behaalde resultaten ongeldigverklaard.Onderwijsvorm:Zelfstandige projectopstelling en projectuitvoering door destudent, begeleid middels geregelde verslaggeving aan debegeleiders en mondelinge dan wel schriftelijke reacties van debegeleiders naar aanleiding van het door de studentgepresenteerde, afgesloten door een openbare presentatie enverdediging van het werk.Wijze vaststellen eindcijfer:Schriftelijk verslag van het project, openbare presentatie enverdediging; de beoordelingscommissie bestaat uit de beidebegeleiders en de RC van de studierichting of een beoordelaarnamens de RC van de studierichtingtentamen.Voorwaarden voor afleggen tentamen/afstudeerpresentatie:Voorwaarde voor aanvang van het project: alle onderdelen vanhet 1e, het 2e, het 3e en het 4e semester moeten zijn behaald.Voorwaarde voor het openbaar presenteren van het eindwerk:het behalen van alle overige onderdelen van de BSc-studie.Agro-hydrologieStudiepunten: 3.0 spStudiebelasting (uren): 84Contacturen per semester: 30 Co, 15 InSemester en fase: 4, B11Docent: Naipal, S. Finishing the meteorological hazards and theprotection will be taught.Omschrijving van het vak:- Definition and importance of agro-meteorological and agrohydrologicalstudies in agricultural point of view. The place andrelations of the above two subjects regarding other closerdisciplines. Introduction of used special methods originatedfrom applied meteorology in chronological order: parallelobservations, field measurements, phytotron (climatechamber) studies, remote sensing, modeling tool.- The most important physical properties of the atmosphere:content, air mass, extension, shape and stratification.Properties of the different levels scoring the lower two levels,the troposphere and stratosphere, the place of our life. Theadiabatic rate (vertical temperature gradient of the air).Physical state properties of the air: air temperature, airpressure and density of the air. The content of thetemperatures. Scales, dimensions, averages for the whole Earthand vertical changes of the elements.- Role of the most important atmospheric elements (aerosolsalso). The Nitrogen, their variations and importance in theEarth-air system. Transformation of N variants. Drinking waterand nitrate pollution. Oxygen variants in the air and their role.The actual global problems of the Earth: the global warmingand the “hole” on the ozonosphere. Springs and sources of gasCO 2 . The “greenhouse” effect substituting with all of the gasescause the phenomenon. Gas concentrations of the greenhousegases from the industrial revolution until know. Causes andconsequences.Origin of the atmospehere with the most important dates. Thechanges will be presented by using the example of temporalmodifications in the oxygen content.- The almost only source of our energy supply: the importanceof Sun radiation. The most important physical properties ofradiation (type of energy). Basics in radiation: solar constant,types of radiation (global, direct, diffuse), scattering, albedoe.t.c. Radiation laws with their practical applications (remotesensing). Balance in the meteorology. Radiation balances, theirmembers. Introduction and content of short wave-, long waveandnet radiation balances.- Characterization of the air temperature. Assessing plantresponse to air temperature modification. Crop temperatureand its information. The agrometeorological aspects of soiltemperature. The members of the heat balance. The amountof energy used for evaporation in case of the Earth. Localconsequences (Hungary).- Studies in water balance, and its components. More detailson the members of simplified water balance: the precipitationand the evaporation. Determination, formation and varieties ofthe clouds. Relationship between raising rain and cloudformation.Details on the processes formatting precipitation. Parameterscharacterizing the precipitation event: species, amount,intensity, distribution of rainfall. Examples should be presentedby Hungarian ones. The process of evaporation. Types of waterlosses. The importance of evapotranspiration in the agriculture.Bounding the heat- and water balances of differentgeographical areas: introduction of the aridity index. Hungary isalso included.
