applied relaxation. Er zijn geen gecontroleerde studies verricht, waaruit blijkt dat metacognitieve<br />
therapie effectief is bij GAS. Er zijn geen onderzoeken verricht die aantonen dat<br />
specifieke kenmerken van GAS patienten succes met een van deze therapievormen<br />
voorspellen.<br />
De behandelduur voor deze 3 interventies bedraagt gemiddeld twaalf sessies.<br />
Alle drie de CGT methoden worden over het algemeen door patiënten goed geaccepteerd;<br />
het gemiddelde drop-out percentage is over het algemeen laag (Gould et al., 1997; Craske,<br />
1999), maar een studie vond een percentage hoog dropout (Kehle, 2008).<br />
Gezien individuele behandeling sneller effect geeft (op de korte termijn effectiever is) gaat<br />
de voorkeur uit naar individuele therapie en niet naar groepstherapie.<br />
Aanbeveling<br />
De cognitieve en gedragstherapeutische behandeling van GAS wordt bij voorkeur<br />
individueel uitgevoerd. De duur van de behandeling bedraagt gemiddeld 12 weken.<br />
