model, gez<strong>in</strong>stherapie of AA. Bij methoden waarover slechts een of twee studies beschikbaar<br />
zijn scoren bio feedback en transcendente meditatie hoger dan bij voorbeeld systematische<br />
desensitisatie, therapeutische gemeenschap of bezigheidstherapie.<br />
Dit zegt mogelijk niet zozeer iets over de werkzaamheid van complementaire behandel<strong>in</strong>gen<br />
als wel iets over de bewezen waarde van andere, meer gangbare therapievormen.<br />
Met veel van deze andere <strong>in</strong>terventies delen de complementaire methoden de handicap dat<br />
RCT’ s moeilijk te realiseren zijn en dat zeker de dubbel bl<strong>in</strong>d conditie niet kan worden gehaald.<br />
Aanbevel<strong>in</strong>g<br />
Op basis van de huidige stand van de wetenschap wordt het toepassen van complementaire<br />
behandel<strong>in</strong>gen bij alcoholproblematiek niet aanbevolen.<br />
