Rock night’s
wrong note
1 MORE than 300 music fans turned up at
a university after seeing posters advertising:
“An evening with rock photographer
Tim Cullen”. They expected to see
pictures of Mick Jagger and other stars –
until they found the event was a speech
on rocks by Tim Cullen, 41, a geologist.
2 “It was rather embarrassing when they
started leaving but some were too polite
to go away,” he said yesterday.
“Geology is not popular so I was pretty
surprised to see the size of the audience
waiting to hear my talk and see my
pictures of rock formations.”
3 Student Mark Peters said: “I went there
expecting to see the Rolling Stones, but
not that sort of stones. Some of my
friends walked out disappointed, but I
decided to stay because I felt so sorry for
the man doing the presentation.”
