A.1 Kolen-, olie- en gaswinning 1P Equivalent to Proved Reserves 2P The Sum of Proved Reserves plus Probable Reserves 3P The Sum of Proved Reserves plus Probable Reserves plus Possible Reserves Accumulation – verzameling / opeenhoping Earth formation containing concentrated quantities of coal, oil or gas. Barrel - Vat A unit of measure for oil and petroleum products that is equivalent to 42 U.S. gallons. Carrier - drager Coal, oil and gas are referred to as energy-carriers. Sometimes the term fuel carrier is also used for e.g. rock or tarsands, which contains substantial quantities of coal, oil or gas. Coalbed Methane – Steenkoolgebonden methaan Natural gas contained in coal deposits, whether or not stored in gaseous phase. Coalbed methane, though usually mostly methane, may be produced with variable amounts of inert or even non-inert gases. Contingent Resources – Voorwaardelijke voorraden Those quantities of coal, oil or gas which are estimated, on a given date, to be potentially recoverable from known accumulations but which are not currently considered to be commercially recoverable. Crude Oil Equivalent – Equivalent van ruwe olie Converting coal, oil or gas volumes to the crude oil equivalent is customarily done on the basis of the heating content or calorific value of the fuel. Industry gas conversion factors usually range between 1.0 barrel of oil equivalent (boe) = 180 to 200 standard m 3 gas. Coal ore quality is too different to provide such a range. Developed Reserves – Ontwikkelde reserves Developed reserves are expected to be recovered from existing wells including reserves behind pipe. Improved recovery reserves are considered developed only after the necessary equipment has been installed, or when the costs to do so are relatively minor. Developed reserves may be sub-categorized as producing or non-producing. Discovered - Blootgelegd The term applied to a coal, oil or gas resource whose existence has been determined by its actual penetration by a well or shaft, which has also clearly demonstrated the existence of moveable fuel carrier or at least some recovery of a sample of the carrier. Log and/or core data may suffice for proof of existence of fuel if an analogous reservoir is available for comparison. Discovered Fuel-initially-in-place – Oorspronkelijk aanwezige brandstof That quantity of coal, oil or gas which is estimated, on a given date, to be contained in known accumulations, plus those quantities already produced therefrom. Discovered Fuel-initially-in-place may be subdivided into Commercial and Sub-commercial categories, with the estimated potentially recoverable portion being classified as Reserves and Contingent Resources respectively. Downhole - Boorgat A term used to describe tools, equipment, and instruments used in the wellbore or the shaft or conditions or techniques applying to those. Downstream – Het finale deel van het productie- en marktproces When referring to the oil and gas industry, this term indicates the refining and marketing sectors of the industry. More generically, the term can be used to refer to any step further along in the process than the exploration and production. E&P - Exploratie en productie Exploration and production. The "upstream" sector of the coil, oil and gas industry. Enhanced recovery (ER) – Verhoogde winning Refers to a variety of processes to increase the amount of coal, oil or gas removed from a reservoir, e.g. by injecting a liquid (e.g., water, surfactant) or gas (e.g., nitrogen, carbon dioxide). 142 Zoeken, vinden en winnen
