44
is the title of a book, written by an Austrian friend of
mine, the poet Hans Lampalzer; his intuition came
near to the imaginary city.
Visions, descriptions on outer as well as inner journeys
and pilgrimages, meditative, or dream reports,
pieces of art, and literature show reflections from a
kind of ‘Golden Age’, of a ‘Paradise’, a ‘Garden of
Eden’, shortly a ‘Heaven on Earth’.
How peculiar it might be, there may be a possible
Reality for Peace and Harmony.
Moreover – in the last century there were several
proposals made for cities or villages of peace.
Auroville in India can be seen as such an attempt
– even partially executed.
Conclusion : Longing for Peace is present in
all cultures and in all times.
