- Er zijn meer studies nodig naar andere schema’s,
andere wijzen van toediening en het gebruik van
(gemicroniseerd) estradiol, progesteron en andere
progestagenen, en tibolon, die momenteel vaker
worden gebruikt in Europa.
- Bij vrouwen jonger dan 60 werd een significante daling
van de totale mortaliteit vastgesteld wanneer de
gegevens van ET en EPT (WHI) werden gecombineerd
(niveau 1).
- De coronaire arteriële calcificatiescore, een
surrogaatmarker voor atherosclerose en CVAincidenten,
is significant verlaagd wanneer ET wordt
opgestart vóór de leeftijd van 60 jaar (niveau 1).
