The course is designed for the students of the doctoral study programme in Pedagogy and aims to help
students to understand the diversity of conceptions in music pedagogy, and facilitate the development of
pedagogical thinking. The objectives of the study course are: to acquaint students with the topical issues of
contemporary music pedagogy, and the conceptions of Latvian and foreign scholars; to help students perceive
music teacher‟s activity as a united multicomponent system; to reveal practical application possibilities of
theoretical findings.
