5. INSTITUTIONAL INFORMATION<br />
The <strong>Ivie</strong> has had the institutional structure of a public limited company since it was set up. Although it was<br />
considered a public firm during the first few years, the <strong>Ivie</strong> has been a mercantile company subject to private<br />
law following the incorporation of its shareholders in 1995.<br />
Throughout the years the <strong>Ivie</strong> has always complied with current legislation so as to ensure the good of the<br />
public and private resources entrusted by different institutions for the development of its activities. In addition,<br />
the <strong>Ivie</strong> provides the required accounting information, which is in the Mercantile Register.<br />
The <strong>Ivie</strong> is <strong>annual</strong>ly controlled by independent auditors with the aim of receiving opinions regarding the quality<br />
of the financial data which the Administration Board develops.<br />
In 2011, the <strong>Ivie</strong> created the <strong>Ivie</strong> Foundation of the Valencian Community, in order to intensify the development<br />
of economic research and education activities of general interest and to strengthen the collaboration with other<br />
institutions in this area.<br />
