Valiuškaitė, E. SurvilienėSummaryAn efficiency of disease and pest warning models of horticultural plants using iMETOSInternet warning system was investigated under Lithuanian conditions at the Lithuanian instituteof Norticulture in 2006–2007. An efficiency of warning system against apple scab on leaves was82.7–89.4 % (incidence), 86.7–93.6 % (intensity), accordingly. Efficiency against scab on fruitswas 93.5–98.7 % (incidence), 96.9–99.1 % (intensity). Apple trees were sprayed on average 9times per season according to growth stages, meanwhile only 8 times when scab was controlledusing warning system. An efficiency of warning system against Cydia pomonella was 88.6 %.The cherries were effectively protected against Monilinia laxa on fruits, using warning systemiMETOS. Efficiency of iMETOS warning system against Peronospora destructor in onionswas 94.2 %. The model of warning system iMETOS was effective against Alternaria radicinaby 91.7 %. Efficiency of iMETOS warning system against Psilae rosae in carrots was 93.6 %.Some pest and disease warning models were investigated for the first time, therefore for finalvalidation of the models under Lithuanian conditions the experiments should be continued.Key words: diseases, efficiency, iMETOS®sm warning system, pests.287
