KavaliauskaitėSummaryIt is reviewed in the article herbicide investigations in vegetable crops carried out at theLithuanian Institute of Horticulture in 1989–2007. The thematic of scientific investigations isintroduced and in short the results are presented. Investigations were carried out in the cropsof various vegetable: red beet, carrot, onions from seedlings, cucumber, and cabbage. Therewas investigated many various herbicides, their combinations and mixtures, various methodsrates and time of their application.Key words: herbicides, carrot, cabbage, cucumber, red beet, onions, weeds.213
