DuchovskisSummaryThe possibilities of different nitrogen fertilizers have been investigated at theLithuanian Institute of Horticulture in 2004-2005. The experiments were carried outon the sandy or sandy-loam Calc(ar)i – Epihypogleyc Luvisols (LVg-p-w-cc). The aimsof investigation were to assess the efficacy of the influence of calcium ammonium nitre(CAN 27), nitrogen fertilizer with zeolite (CAN 27 with zeolite) and zeolite (commercialsign ZeoVit EcoAgro) and ammonium nitre (AN) on productivity and morphometricalindices (weight of root-crop and diameter of root-crop) of red beet. The highestmarketable yield (61.5 t ha -1 ) was obtained, when nitrogen fertilizer with zeolite (CAN27 with zeolite (N 90+ N 30) were used. The output of marketable yield composed 85%of total red beet yield. Using for fertilization ammonium nitre (N 90+ N 30) and puttingin the soil 25 t ha -1 zeolite, 59.5 t ha -1 marketable yield was obtained and output ofmarketable yield composed 81.2% of total yield. The highest weight of root-crop of redbeet (223.7 g) was obtained, when CAN 27 with zeolite was used. The biggest diameterof root-crop (70.4 mm) was obtained, when CAN 27 was used. The weight of crop-rootimpact the total and marketable yield by 37%, the diameter – by 36% and 35%,respectively.Key words: calcium ammonium nitre, diameter of root-crop, marketable yield,nitrogen fertilize with zeolite, zeolite, weight of root-crop.99
