Stanys, G. StanienëSummaryInterspecific black currant and gooseberry, red, golden, and American curranthybrids (F 1) using interspecific hybridization and isolated embryo methods wereobtained; F 2and F 3hybrids were obtained intercrossing F 1hybrids. Resistance of hybridsto powdery mildew (Sphaerotheca mors-uvae Berk.), septoria leaf spots (Mycosphaerelaribis Kleb.) and anthracnose (Pseudopeziza ribis Kleb.) was evaluated on the first andsecond year of growing in breeding-plot.Interspecific hybrids were mostly damaged by septoria leaf spot, less by anthracnose, and least by powdery mildew. Plants resistant to powdery mildew were found in allinterspecific black currant and gooseberry, red, golden, and American currant hybridfamilies (17,3-100%), with the exception of 2-273-16 family (Ribes nigrum x R. petraeum)in which all plants were damaged.Damage by septoria leaf spot was the highest in hybrids of black currant andgooseberry, and the least in black and American currant hybrids (F 1-F 3). The highestnumbers of resistant to septoria leaf spot plants were found in black and red curranthybrids families – 12-60%.Resistant to anthracnose hybrids were found in all black currant and gooseberryfamilies (18-33%). According to resistance to anthracnose the highest variety was inblack and red and black and American currant hybrid families.Resistant to fungal diseases plant number in reciprocal black and American currantcrosses was different. Resistance level of hybrids with R. americanum cytoplasm wasconsiderably higher.Key words: Anthracnose, currant, interspecific hybrids, Powdery mildew, Septorialeaf spot.46
