The exposure to stress factors was divided into two main steps: adaptiveand main. Acid concentration for adaptive effect was 3ml H 2SO 4for 1 l of water andcadmium concentration was 0.06mM 3CdSO 4·8H 2O. Acid concentration for main effectwas 4 ml H 2SO 4for 1 l of water and cadmium concentration was 3mM 3CdSO 4·8H 2O.Radish height, biomass accumulation, amounts of photosynthetic pigments in leaveswas determined. It was established that acid rain stimulate adaptation of radishphotosynthetic pigments system for repeatedly acidification of substratum. Cadmiumaffects radish toxically though homeostasis did not evidence.Key words: cadmium, carotenoids, chlorophyll, growth, radish, substratum acidity.169
