Properties and ageing of three acrylic polymersParaloid B-72, Paraloid B-82, Plexisol P550 have been studied in connection withthe use of these polymers in the conservation of modern paintings. Change ofcolor, brightness, wetting angle, adhesion and reversibility of consolidation processwere researched. The obtained data was used to assess the stability, changesand compatibility of polymers with painting materials. The results revealed that allthree polymers were conveyable for this task, the solvent used together was moreimportant.T YRINñ JIMAI / 41
