c) Diminutives. Endings such as ..Ius, ..ulus, -culus, -ellus in any<br />

flagellum, a small whip (from Hagrum, a scourge, a whip). 10. circulus,<br />

a small circle (from circus, circle). II. malleolus, a little hammer<br />

(from malleus, a hammer, a mallet). 12. tabella, a tablet (from tabula,<br />

a board).
