47. Velle, to wish, to be tvilling; nolle, to be untvilling. These<br />

partly irregular verbs double the 1 only in the infinitive and in the<br />

imperfect subj unctive. Elsewhere they have but one 1. The present<br />

indicative only presents special difficulty.<br />

The imperative of nolle is often used \vith an infinitive to express<br />
