Artist Portrait Mio Morganti Master of Small Stories The artists’ works captivate you with masterfully abstracted recreations of everyday situations. Mio Morganti depicts everyday situations and human encounters with colourful, brilliant brushstrokes. She sketches scenes of ordinary life with a light hand: The stories that she tells with her works leave room for a Projektionen 80 cm x 105 cm variety of individual interpretations. They are situations that everyone knows, and with which the beholder can identify. Instead of major dramas, small everyday incidents and encounters are depicted. Mio Morganti’s paintings do not wish to convey specific messages. Nothing in her more or less incidental subjects seem to be of particular meaning, but something is always revealed about the mood of the portrayed figures and their relationship to one another. The Swiss-born artist from Lugano studied with Professor Seger after her move to Munich. In the meantime, she has received, among others, the prestigious Haus der Kunst Prize.
