FIRST Cash Back Save Money Buying Hunting and Fishing Gear with FIRST By Rusty Barron I discovered a great way to always get my hunting and fishing gear cheaper, anytime of the year I decide to buy it. Two of the retailers on the new FIRST Cash Back app are Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s, and both offer 5.4% cash back on every purchase when you check out using your FIRST app. This is a brand-new offering from The BLUES that we are beta testing and will soon be available to everyone. I wanted to explain how easy it is to use and once you do use it, you will find over 300+ other retailers, restaurants, and other places you normally shop & dine with, and you can save money every time with them too. Once you download the app for .99 there will be no more costs to use it, only savings. You will use the app as your form of payment just like you would with your credit card. When you download the app, you will load your favorite card credit that will be actually paying for the purchase and in addition to you still getting your miles or credits that your favorite credit card gives you, you will also be earning additional cash back from the 300+ merchants because you are a First Responder or family member of a First Responder. So here is how it works. Let’s say you are at Bass Pro Shops and purchase 7.07 worth of stuff. You proceed to the cashier and when they give you the total, you pull out your phone, open the app and click on Bass Pro Shops logo in your favorites and tell the cashier you will be paying with a digital gift card. Then you type into the app the amount of the purchase, 1-1-7-0-7 and hit next button. Instantly there is a digital gift card shown on your app that you show the cashier. They scan the barcode, and the transaction is completed. It’s that quick and easy. Then you’ll notice you’re getting back .32 from Bass Pro because you are a First Responder, and it stays in your “available cash” on your app until you choose to use it at any of the 300+ merchants in the app. So, every time you use the app to pay for your purchase you will earn more cash back and at any time you can use your available cash to pay for all or part of your next purchase through the app. It is really the same as pulling out your credit card and handing it to the cashier but by using the FIRST app, you are earning cash back. I find this a very cool benefit for you and your family members, and it is all because you are a First Responder and a FIRST member. Bass Pro and Cabela’s offer 5.4% cash back and that is about the average across all the merchants in the app. Some more, some less and it is always shown next to the brand name how much they are offering.
