RUSTY B off duty & outdoors cost “OK, for installation, but these I like it, Picasso” additions become a permanent feature of your home and I am convinced add additional value as well. So let me paint a picture of what a backyard pizza party looks like with your own oven. First, like any good BBQ, it does take a little preparation before your entire family shows up with plates in hand. I build a small fire in a Grill Chimney out of hardwood lump coal. While the small fire is burning, I build a small teepee of either oak, pecan, or mesquite wood in the middle of my pizza oven. Then I add the burning coals to the middle of the wood teepee in the oven and blow some air onto the wood/coal mixture to get the wood burning like a small campfire. I then continue to add wood to this small fire in the oven for about 1.5 hours until the roof of the oven turns white from the heat of the fire. Then with fire tools, I push the fire and coals to the back and sides of the pizza oven. With the steel brush provided with the oven kit, I brush the pizza stone surface the fire has been burning on. At this point, the oven is ready to wow your guests with pizza after pizza creation for the next two hours. It takes practice creating pizzas with just the right blend of toppings that your family will be forever calling their favorite pizza. One tip is to sprinkle the pizza peel with plenty of rice flour before you place the dough on 172 The BLUES the peel and that will enable it to slide off the peel easier while placing in the oven. Another tip is to buy a BBQ pigtail that are made for turning steaks but works great for grabbing the side of the cooking pizza and keep them rotating in the oven. So, if you are thinking of upgrading your backyard kitchen, I highly encourage you to look into a wood fired pizza oven.
