If your group has a conference or training session scheduled for2024, please send the information to: bluespdmag@gmail. com. 2024 Crimes Against Children Conference When: August 11-15, 2024 Where: Dallas, TX2021 CACC The annual CACC event, typically held in Dallas, Texas, is organized by the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center and brings together up to 10,000 law enforcement and children advocates focused on preventing and addressing the repercussions of crimes against children. 2024 National Interdiction Conference When: August 18-23, 2024 Where: Anaheim, California Why Attend: This event focuses on training and influencing a pro-active “All Crimes” approach to criminal interdiction and is coordinated by the National Criminal Enforcement Association. Annual SMILE CONFERENCE 2024 When: September 18-19, 2024 Where: Palm Beach, FL. Why You Should Go: Hosted by the Scottsdale Police Department, the SMILE annual conference is the leading event devoted to Social Media, the Internet and Law Enforcement initiatives. The organization pioneered the adoption of social media by law enforcement agencies across the world for public outreach, crime prevention, and forensics. High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA) When: September 19-22, 2023 Where: Phoenix, AZ Why You Should Go: HTCIA features some of the world’s top industry leaders and is one of the most respected high technology investigation conferences in the world. Current practitioners who engage in high technology daily serve as both presenters and attendees. National Association for Civilian Oversight in Law Enforcement Conference When: October 13-17, 2024 Where: Tucson, Arizona Why Attend: NACOLE started with its first event in 1995, and continuously works to put together comprehensive, informative, and inclusive programs that address skills training and current or emerging topics. This conference is best suited for civilian oversight practitioners, law enforcement officials, journalists, elected officials, students, community members, and others. International Association of Chiefs of Police 2024 Conference When: October 19-22, 2024 Where: Boston, Massachusetts Why You Should Go: The IACP annual conference provides law enforcement leaders with the new strategies, techniques, and resources they need to successfully navigate the ever-evolving policing environment. Ontario Gang Investigators Association 2024 Conference When: November 2024 Where: TBD The ONGIA conference brings together members of the law enforcement community to learn the latest in gang trends, investigations, and intelligence while providing professional development for Police, Probation and Parole, Correctional Officers, Crowns Attorneys, CBSA Officers, Victim Witness Assistance Program (MAG) and others. Hispanic American Police Command Officers Association 46th Annual Symposium When: TBD IN 2025 Where: Los Angeles, CA Why Attend: The HAPCOA is the oldest and largest association in the U.S. of Hispanic-American command officers from law enforcement and criminal justice agencies at the municipal, county, state, and federal levels. This year’s national training symposium will also feature a career fair. National Law Enforcement Exploring Leadership Conference When: TBD Where: TBD Why Attend: This conference is designed to inspire and educate law enforcement explorers who will be future law enforcement professionals and leaders.
