FROM YOUR APSA BOARD AIRBORNE PUBLIC SAFETY ASSOCIATION, INC. 50 Carroll Creek Way, Suite 260 Frederick, MD 21701 (301) 631-2406 • (301) 631-2466/fax EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR/CEO Daniel B. Schwarzbach Houston (TX) Police Department (ret.) (301) 631-2406 • (301) 631-2466/fax e-mail: dschwarzbach@publicsafetyaviation.org PRESIDENT Richard Bray BOARD OF DIRECTORS PRESIDENT Richard Bray Alachua County (FL) Sheriff's Office Aviation Unit (352) 260-7116 e-mail: rbray@publicsafetyaviation.org Houston will be the site for APSCON/APSCON Unmanned this summer. This is the 53rd anniversary of the conference, and the city is also the site of the association’s very first APSCON. In mid-April, Executive Director/CEO Dan Schwarzbach called me and said more space was needed. The conference had already filled our contracted exhibit area but our corporate affiliates still wanted booths. The George R. Brown Convention Center luckily had an adjoining space available which we also began to fill up. In short, this will be our biggest conference ever and we hope you are able to experience it in person. On the manned side, there will be more than a dozen aircraft on display and UAS operators will have an actual indoor flight area within the convention center. There will be plenty of informative and new classes and training events taking place during conference week, as well as the social and networking opportunities in the evening. And don’t forget the APSA Awards Reception on Friday evening where the good work of our colleagues is recognized. Get registered for APSCON and APSCON Unmanned, and we look forward to seeing you in Houston!
