RETI PER PAVIMENTAZIONE STRADALE | MESHES FOR ROAD PAVING In molti paesi il deterioramento delle strade d’asfalto costituisce un problema crescente. Le risorse per i lavori di manutenzione sono limitate e comunque non sufficienti a mantenere le strade in condizioni adeguate. Ferriere Nord ha contribuito allo sviluppo di una nuova metodologia di costruzione e manutenzione stradale attraverso l’impiego di conglomerati bituminosi rinforzati con reti d’acciaio elettrosaldate (progetto comunitario EU REFLEX). Le reti REFLEX, prodotte nello stabilimento di Osoppo costituiscono una delle soluzioni più rivoluzionarie sia in termini di sicurezza stradale, sia in termini economici, con una riduzione dei costi globali di costruzione e manutenzione durante tutta la vita della struttura, sia ambientali, con una riduzione delle risorse impiegate. Questo tipo di rinforzo è già stato utilizzato in molteplici pavimentazioni flessibili: nel tratto Palmanova-Udine della A23, nella 3 a corsia del raccordo autostradale di Mestre, in diversi tratti nell’ampliamento autostradale della A4, nelle rampe dei viadotti autostradali nel tratto A4 in zona Villesse (GO), nella S.S.67 Tosco- Romagnola (BO), nella strada provinciale in località Salmastro (Aquileia - UD), ed in diversi altri tratti austostradali e di strade statali e provinciali. In several countries the damages caused to paved roads represents an increasingly serious problem. The resources for maintenance works are limited and, in any case, are not sufficient to keep roads in adequate conditions. Ferriere Nord has contributed to the development of a new road construction and maintenance procedure through the use of bituminous concrete reinforced with electrowelded steel meshes (EU REFLEX project). REFLEX meshes, produced in the plant of Osoppo, represent one of the most innovative solutions both from a road safety and an economical point of view, since they allow to reduce global costs of construction and maintenance during the whole life of structures as well as the use of resources to help preserving the environment. This type of reinforcement has been used in a variety of flexible pavements: for a section of A23 Palmanova-Udine, in the third lane of the highway in Mestre, in several expanding sections of the A4 motorway, in viaducts ramps in the section of the A4 highway in the area Villesse (GO), in the primary road n.67 in the Tuscan-Romagna area (BO), in the secondary road in Salmastro area (Aquileia – UD) and in several other sections of secondary, primary roads and highway.
