Fabio
Pesce
dell’architettura ecosostenibile e ha riportato l’edificio all’antico
creazioni di piastrelle, dando vita all’omonimo brand, Ladiva. Insieme
Ladiva inizia a prendere mercato in pochissimi mesi.
Fabio Pesce born in Naples on December 21st, moved to
Bologna for love in September 1997.
After his studies, he began his career as a showroom designer, attended
a one-year course at the IFOA institute in Reggio Emilia, for the sales
agents sector, thus combining his passion for design with the practicality
of commerce, starting to represent and design exhibition halls in the
region of Emilia Romagna, Russia, Ukraine and the Baltics, representing
companies in the sector still world-famous today.
In 2001, thanks to the help of his mother Raffaella, he bought the buildings
in Sasso Marconi, warehouses and of the old Ravaioli company.
In 2002 he founded Metalia to create the Metal Ceramics
collection, a name that resonates with the unmistakable industrial style
and where the letters Met stands for “Metal” and the letters Alia stands
for “Italy”, a composition of the two words widely accepted by architects
of the sector.
In 2004, in collaboration with a famous Chinese company, we
created the PIXEL brand, an Italian glass mosaic assembly
company, we bought the systems of an old mosaic company in 2008,
after four long years of development and restructuring, the Pixel brand
becomes a reference point for glass mosaic. The
company passes from the old building of1200sqm to 4200sqm; the
company’s headquarters are located in Pontecchio Marconi: over 6,000
sqm of modern and functional beauty, in Miami style, immersed in the
Bolognese countryside. The restyling project
followed the paradigm of eco-sustainable architecture and
brought the building back to its former glory, expressing the passion
that Fabio Pesce has always nurtured for architecture and design.
Since 2013, after a long meeting with Alan Belloni of the FMA company,
Fabio Pesce chose to sign his tile creations with his own name, giving
life to the homonymous brand, Ladiva. Together they organize the entire
company in less than 6 months, starting from scratch. In 2013 Fabio
Pesce chose Malta to open his registered office, which later became the
capital of European culture shortly the same year.
Creator of a new concept in making ceramics, which involves the use
of a single base for all the series of ceramics, creating for the first
time in the sector a ductile material for architects, created thanks to a
particular production strategy based on the concept of “Made in Italy”,
on quality, excellence and attention to detail. This is how, in just over a
decade, Fabio Pesce reached over 26
countries in 2022 where Ladiva is considered the best artistic ceramic
of the moment, present in the most important cities in the world: New
York, Paris, Milan, Madrid, Moscow, Dubai just to name a few.
Confirming the brand’s notoriety in the international market, Fabio Pesce
decides to let his son Jacopo, who recently
graduated in London, make his debut, opening the most difficult market
in the sector, China. A strong market in the
production of ceramics, but thanks to a strategic partner. and the great
vision of Jacopo, Ladiva begins to take the market in a few months.
The strong rise on the international scene has allowed the brand to
build a PR network with over 3 press offices around the world, managed
by Giorgia, Fabio’s wife, creating a real marketing and communication
strategy.

DAVID CHIPPERFIELD
Ladiva
Ladiva
sollecitare i migliori designer e
Ladiva
was born from the natural need to bring the
thinking of architects and designers into absolute freedom,
which is why it has created a ceramic line produced
with a single support, a single production system and
a single thickness, while leaving intact the concept
of the tile, glazed ceramic material. with slightly
rounded edges. This system makes Ladiva ceramic
similar to marble or wood,
materials widely used by architects for their
flexibility. Thanks to this
intuition, but without transforming the
craftsmanship of Italian ceramics,
the brand embarked on an unprecedented path in 2013,
with the aim of challenging the rules of large producers.
Even more important is the added value to the product
thanks to the use of raw materials of Italian origin and
the use of the waters of our
Gabbianella spring, which make the finished product
a small piece of our beautiful Italy.
Ladiva was born from the natural need to solicit the
best designers and architects to realize their ideas,
with the use of our products, being decorated
only with a relief system, give the enamel the possibility of
deform on the surface creating a single product that
only mother nature can replicate, the
finished product will be unique. The advantage of having only relief
decorations and not screen-printed, gives
Ladiva ceramics a longevity
comparable to the great classics of furniture,
because a relief never has time. Thanks to this
intuition in 2013 the brand created an absolute novelty,
the style that never gets old,
with the aim of
opposing the rules of current ceramics that produce
almost everything with the
screen-printed system.

pontefici, imperatori, re e duchi mentre stipulano
accordi sulle sorti d’Italia.
Antognano.
La rocca venne collocata strategicamente in questa
posizione proprio con funzione difensiva.
Oggi è ancora possibile leggere buona parte
All’estremità
escursionistici:
il sentiero Spallanzani e il sentiero Matilde.
CARPINETI CASTLE
You can see it up there both along the valley floor of
the Secchia river and that of
the Tresinaro: on the
Appennino di Reggio Emilia stands
the Castle ofCarpineti, one of the manors of the powerful
domain of
Matilda of Canossa.
The fortress is elected, at the time of the
Grand Countess, as a privileged seat to host popes,
emperors, kings and dukes while they enter into
agreements on the fate of Italy.
The keep is still almost intact and stands on one of
the rocky spurs of the mountain ridge
Antognano.
The fortress was strategically placed in this position
with a defensive function.
Today it is still possible to read a good part
of the original and defensive structures of its
buildings: the structure of the complex is defined
“CASTLE OF WOMEN”
with a plant belt
irregular almost like a trapezoid. At the end of
the short southern side there is a small apsidal room
that is configured as a round tower through which
one entered the castle.
Inside there is an isolated tower with a square plan,
made up of well-squared stone blocks.
The entire structure was restored from 1990 to
early 1999. The Carpineti castle is located on an important
crossroads of hiking trails:
the Spallanzani path and the Matilde path.
Colori Ladiva.
Ladiva Colors. Our shade guide starts from basic concepts.
Personally I created the shade guide, trying to take what mother nature
offers us, because for me an
internal, must be an integral part of the exterior and all
world that surrounds us. The sum of the colors,
therefore, generates white and for which we speak of additive synthesis,
this is it was the first color I chose. Our white:
RGB
SINTESI ADDITIVA
nostro nero
RGB
ADDITIVE SUMMARY
SOURCES OF LIGHT
Opposite to additive synthesis, there is the subtractive and
therefore the black color. Our black
RGB
SINTESI ADDITIVA
chiamato come “Grigio Sbagliato”.
avevamo in precedenza, correggendo nelle
ADDITIVE SUMMARY
SOURCES OF LIGHT
With these 2 colors, I got the first color range from white to black in 8
shades, being careful not to fall out in the error of creating cold tones,
then working with the usual bases of red, blue and green and its derivatives.
The close relationship of brown with gray makes it a difficult
color to create, often brown also comes
called as “Wrong Gray”.
Adjusting the proportions of three ingredients makes the
game complicated, above all because you risk, with every
mistake, of falling back into a characterless grayish,
similar to that already done in the first shade guide.
Having obtained our brown, we mixed the same with the
white we had previously, correcting in the 8 shades the color obtained.
This color scale from ivory to brown has charm
not to have that warm tone effect.
When we talk about color in the perceptual sense,
it is not easy to describe it exactly. A physicist could describe the wave,
with its length and frequency, but artists, graphic designers and designers
use other parameters, I personally tried to create a chromatic scale
in line with my concept of tiles, where that
what counts for me is that the product never gets tired and never
“Never gets old”. In fact, I chose a tactile decoration system
(relief) because according to the light point it always has reflections
different and added basic colors as described above on the
surface. With this system, I hope I have given each
architect designer and interior artist, the possibility of
range with whatever they like after,
because my ceramic and my color are to be considered a
neutral wrapper, a sheet of white paper.
Made in
Italy
L’importanza del Made in Italy
l’espressione Made in Italy, “prodotto in Italia”, segnalando così l’origine
Il made in Italy
commerciali universalmente famosi come
Coca-Cola e Visa. Come tutto ciò che ha successo
nell’economia, la segnalazione made in Italy è s
oggetta a usi scorretti.
l’uso dell’espressione made in Italy è
regolato da numerose leggi italiane e da accordi
internazionali.
industrialmente o artigianalmente prodotto in Italia.
The importance of Made in Italy in the world
The prestige of Italian industry is due to a series of products of excellence
to which they
are recognized: a high
quality level of the materials used, refined style, innovation, attention to
detail, immagination
of the solutions
adopted, the ability to last over time. To indicate these
qualities, the expression Made in Italy is used, “produced in Italy”, thus
signaling the Italian origin of an industrial or artisan product destined for
both international and Italian markets. The most exported Italian products
in the world, thanks to also their origin, concern clothing, footwear,
furniture, agri-food, cars and other products in the
engineering sector, such as the scooter called Vespa.
Made in Italy
According to some market research, the expression Made in Italy is known
around the world at almost the same level as two
universally famous commercial brands such as
Coca-Cola and Visa. Like everything that is successful in the
economy, made in Italy reporting is subject to misuse. In fact, it may
happen that it is on purpose, to deceive buyers,
even on products of non-Italian origin. For this reason,
the use of the expression made in Italy is governed by
numerous Italian laws and international
agreements. Today the fundamental requirement is that a
commercial product must have in order
to be classified with the
indication made in Italy is that it has been projected, conceived, designed
and industrially or handcrafted produced in Italy.
Social
Responsability
calda emessa dai forni lineari.
La tutela delle risorse naturali. Questo consiste nel limitare
i rifiuti grezzi, il consumo di energia
termica, il consumo di energia
elettrica e l’acqua utilizzata.
Ladiva’s social responsibility is expressed in concrete facts.
We create surfaces for everyday living spaces, where respect for humans
and nature is talen into consideration and is of essential duty.
Our social responsibility is expressed and conceived throught
these small concepts:
The environmental impact of our production
processes. This is reduced to a minimum thanks to a
cogeneration plant powered by methane that guarantees both a complete
energy self-sufficienct protocol and a recovery
system maintained by a water cooling system
for the hot air emitted by the linear furnaces.
The protection of natural resources, which endure on limiting raw waste,
the consumption of thermal energy, the electricity consumption and
the water utilized.
The environment and health. Done by offering our customers
products which are free of carcinogens, made in low-emission plants and
safe for workers and surrounding communities.
Last concept and the most important, WE do not produce if
YOU do not ask! For us, it is useless to produce tiles, for
them to sit unsold in the
warehouse. We are the only company in the world today that produces on
demand, we produce what you want.
Remember that the greatest pollutant is done through
the superfluous, WE do not have that.
