decisionali.
3. Formazione e sviluppo: esamina le opportunità
di formazione e crescita professionale offerte
ai dipendenti, verificando che siano equamente
accessibili a tutti i generi.
4. Retribuzione e progressione di carriera: controlla
le politiche retributive e le possibilità di
avanzamento di carriera per garantire l’assenza
di disparità di genere.
5. Work-life balance: valuta le iniziative aziendali
The Gender Equality Certification, as outlined by
UNI/PdR 125, involves the analysis of different
company areas crucial for ensuring a complete
and accurate assessment of the gender equality
policies implemented:
1. Corporate governance: assesses management’s
commitment to gender equality, including
the presence of women in positions of leadership
and decision-making.
2. Recruitment and selection policies: analyses
recruitment and selection procedures to ensure
they are free from gender bias and promote
diversity.
3. Training and development examines the opportunities
for training and professional growth
offered to employees, checking that they are
equally accessible to all genders.
4. Pay and career progression: checks pay policies
and career advancement opportunities to
guarantee the absence of gender disparity.
5. Work-life balance: assesses company initiatives
aimed at promoting balance between
personal life and work life, including policies of
flexibility and maternity/paternity support.
6. Health and safety at the workplace: analyses
the measures adopted to guarantee a safe
and healthy workplace, open to dialogue, considering
specific gender needs.
WHY GENDER EQUALITY CERTIFICATION IS A
FUNDAMENTAL ASSET FOR COMPANIES
Organisations that firmly pursue and obtain
Gender Equality Certification stand out for their
commitment to creating a work environment that
celebrates and respects differenced, establishing
a corporate culture that recognises diversity as a
strategic lever for success.
Governments and regulatory bodies, increasingly
aware of the importance of gender equality, tend
to reward pioneering companies in this field with
significant tax benefits. In Italy, for example, companies
that obtained the Gender Equality Certification
by 31 December 2023 can apply by 30
April 2024, for exemption from the payment of
employer’s total social security contributions, not
exceeding 1% and for a maximum of 50,000 euro
per year. •
