LA CREAZIONE DI VALORE PER TOURING CLUB ITALIANO I Villaggi Touring a La Maddalena, a Marina di Camerota e alle Isole Tremiti sono nati negli anni Sessanta del secolo scorso, per preservare la bellezza dei contesti naturali in cui sono inseriti, successivamente tutelati da tre Parchi Nazionali. In linea con la mission del Touring, i Villaggi promuovono la conoscenza e il rispetto della cultura e del territorio, i comportamenti sostenibili, uno stile di vita sano e la diffusione della cultura sull’uso responsabile di acqua, energia e cibo. La salvaguardia della natura è un tema centrale che viene costantemente promosso grazie a una presenza umana discreta, all’organizzazione di attività mirate e al coinvolgimento di professionisti della biologia marina che operano per valorizzare il patrimonio ambientale delle località, sensibilizzando clienti e giovani generazioni a un soggiorno sostenibile. I Villaggi sono stati ideati come spazi dedicati a ospiti che condividono la stessa coscienza ambientale e contribuiscono attivamente alla salvaguardia dell’ambiente con buone pratiche di soggiorno sostenibile. Le stesse strutture, perfettamente integrate nella natura circostante, hanno un impatto ambientale ridotto: le camere non prevedono aria condizionata, telefono e televisione, mentre il wi-fi è disponibile solo nelle aree comuni. Sono state istituite spiagge “no smoking”, a Marina di Camerota dal 2011 e a La Maddalena dal 2018. Sono inoltre attive raccolta differenziata e isole ecologiche ad hoc, mentre sono state eliminate le stoviglie di plastica monouso e introdotte acqua e bevande alla spina. I detersivi usati nelle strutture sono certificati Ecolabel UE, mentre le linee cortesia degli ospiti sono a base di estratti 100% vegetali e biologici. I mezzi di trasporto utilizzati sono elettrici e a basso impatto ambientale. A livello di filiera, sono privilegiati i prodotti locali e l’inserimento di personale del territorio. Database turistico l Promozione del turismo etico, responsabile e sostenibile Il turismo rappresenta una delle principali leve dell’economia italiana e uno dei principali settori in cui il Touring Club Italiano opera attivamente tramite le proprie strutture. Per l’Associazione il turismo non è solo un importante comparto economico, ma svolge anche una funzione sociale e culturale fondamentale: il suo impegno è quello di promuovere un turismo rispettoso delle diversità, strumento di confronto, di conoscenza e convivenza in grado di favorire lo sviluppo di comportamenti sostenibili nei confronti del territorio. Ogni anno migliaia di strutture ricettive e di ristorazione vengono contattate e inserite nel database turistico. Questa banca dati è creata per realizzare prodotti e servizi di massima qualità. Le schede utilizzate per la selezione delle strutture considerano prima di tutto le pratiche che integrano la sostenibilità, tra cui: • energia sostenibile: ricorso alla bioedilizia e a fonti di energia rinnovabili derivanti da impianti fotovoltaici, solari e termici come, ad esempio, le caldaie a pellet o gli impianti di illuminazione che utilizzano tecniche di fotoluminescenza • riduzione e riciclo dei rifiuti prodotti • plastic free: comportamenti volti all’eliminazione dell’uso della plastica • interazione con il territorio, artigianato a chilometro zero e prodotti di zona: acquisto e vendita di prodotti dell’artigianato del territorio e prodotti solidali, utilizzo di materiali locali per gli arredi, organizzazione di eventi come degustazioni di prodotti a chilometro zero, mostre di artisti locali, visite guidate nei dintorni, rigenerazione di aree naturali come ex cave e simili, ricorso alla manodopera locale adeguatamente formata • uso consapevole dell’acqua: riduzione dell’acqua attraverso comportamenti volti al riuso della risorsa idrica • sostenibilità “in cucina”: uso di prodotti biologici e programmi per il recupero del cibo. 70 BILANCIO SOCIALE <strong>2022</strong>
