Per la complessità del livello assistenzi<strong>al</strong>e richiesto, il trattamento ipotermico va effettuato<br />
esclusivamente nei reparti di terapia intensiva neonat<strong>al</strong>e (Centri di III livello assistenzi<strong>al</strong>e),<br />
possibilmente centr<strong>al</strong>izzando le cure <strong>per</strong> poter ottenere elevati livelli di competenza nei<br />
<strong>con</strong>fronti di un trattamento relativamente raro. In particolare è indispensabile la presenza di<br />
<strong>per</strong>son<strong>al</strong>e infermieristico <strong>al</strong>tamente speci<strong>al</strong>izzato <strong>con</strong> elevato rapporto paziente/infermiere e<br />
guardia <strong>neonato</strong>logica 24 ore su 24.<br />
