focus Tutta la filiera sta lavorando ed è determinante per la qualità di un prodotto. Questo significa lavorare nell’etica, nella significanza del prodotto, nella trasparenza. A Tolosa Comme en Avant punta sul consu<strong>mare</strong> meno ma meglio, poco ma di valore. Spendiamo di <strong>più</strong> ma per prodotti certificati e garantiti a difesa dell’ambiente e delle persone”. Il fattore umano Quando si parla di sostenibilità a 360 gradi, non bisogna dimenticare il rispetto per le persone. I clienti, ma anche quelli che lavorano in azienda, dalla produzione fino al magazzino. “In futuro sarà sempre <strong>più</strong> necessario guardare alle persone con attenzione - aggiunge Rubinelli - Sono loro il vero petrolio del retail fisico (e non solo). Due retailer in Francia hanno introdotto le casse blablabla: chi le sceglie per pagare può chieder quello che vuole alla cassiera e lei può rispondere senza fretta. C’è il valore umano della cassiera, altro che casse automatiche! La richiesta va verso la cassiera abilitata a parlare con il cliente. Si deve tener presente che gli anziani reclamano questo servizio. Ma non solo loro. Lidl in Irlanda ha rilevato 32 pub e li ha messi all’interno del discount trasformandosi in retail che vende prodotti, servizi e fa somministrazione. Il pub in Irlanda è un luogo di ritrovo, socialità, spirito, comunità. Questi sono tutti cambiamenti che partono in sordina, ma poi molti retailer li adottano. Sono importanti e interessanti dal punto di vista sociale e del consumo”. Previsioni future McKinsey Global Institute ha fatto previsioni fino al 2026. Dai dati si vede crescere il discount che rappresenta la semplificazione del processo d’acquisto. “Semplificazione è una delle parole chiave del futuro - spiega Rubinelli - Iper e supemercati mantengono le loro posizioni, anche rispetto all’online e cresce il convenience, il punto vendita vicino a casa che offre prodotti e servizi. Anche noi abbiamo fatto un sondaggio su RetailWatch, chiedendo ai lettori cosa pensano del futuro e quali saranno le tipologie di organizzazione. Molti dicono che saranno i discount, prima dei pure player e dell’e-commerce”. Le previsioni Nielsen, con molte variabili in gioco, nell’ipotesi della fine dell’emergenza a fine gennaio <strong>2021</strong>, vedono la crescita esponenziale dell’online per il 2020 (+ 130%) scendere poi nel <strong>2021</strong> (+ 60%) per poi stabilizzarsi nel 2022 (+ 30%). Il canale supermercato vede una crescita del 7,7% nel 2020, un calo del 2,4% nel <strong>2021</strong> e una ripresa (+ 2,6%) nel 2022 . Più o meno la stessa situazione per i punti WACOAL vendita di vicinato (convenience). Una crescita del 6,8% nel 2020, un calo del 3,4% nel <strong>2021</strong> e una crescita dell’1,9% nel 2022. Questi due canali avranno una battuta d’arresto l’anno prossimo perché nel 2020 hanno aumentato in maniera considerevole le loro quote di mercato, ma si riprenderanno nel 2022. “Secondo McKinsey Global Institute la tecnologia è un mezzo (non un fine) che aumenta la profittabilità in tutta la filiera e nell’organizzazione del rretai - spiega Rubinelli - Lavoro, punto vendita, cura degli inventari, back office, esperienza. La profittabilità è superiore nel retail fisico rispetto all’online perché questo canale ha una serie di costi che il negozio fisico non ha. Per esempio costi di consegna e di ritorno del prodotto (il 30%, soprattutto nell’abbigliamento)”. Semplificazione e precisione Sono le due parole chiave del prossimo futuro. “Il discount avanza perché ha semplificato il negozio (<strong>più</strong> piccolo) e ridotto lo scaffale (meno referenze) - spiega Rubinelli - Poi ci sono esperimenti dappertutto, come la superette automatica di Monop’ in Francia: negozi di 30 metri quadrati, 600 referenze, pagamento automatico, ma soprattutto grande servizio di vicinato (per esempio, sotto i condomini). Ci sarà un’esplosione di questi format. Poi ci vuole precisione nel retail fisico ma anche online per dare effettivamente il servizio che il consumatore reclama. Concludo con una frase dell’attore Karl Valenin: una volta il futuro era migliore perché sapevamo cos’era. Adesso va immaginato. E lo facciamo con i dati degli istituti di ricerca, i workshop come quelli del Future Concept Lab, le analisi, gli studi, gli esperti ma soprattutto con un’attenzione che sarà superiore rispetto al passato”.
