University Library of Pavia, the Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana of Venice, the
Biblioteca Nazionale of Naples, the Public Library of Como, and the Libraries of the
Physics Departments of the Universities of Pavia and La Sapienza in Rome.
This bibliographical tool, 6 the digital edition of Volta’s collected works, 7 the
publication of the Regesto of his manuscripts 8 and the reconstruction of his physics
cabinet with 140 original instruments 9 make available to historians of science an
unprecedented wealth of tools to analyse Volta’s life and works.
